Lenovo in Slovakia is the official representation of the corporation while providing internal IT systems and services for the EMEA region. For its work, it uses a number of IT applications and systems. In addition to its own servers, Lenovo also uses the services of providers for computing resources - cloud. Systems for the internal purposes of Lenovo in the EMEA region must meet the requirement of maximum availability. They represent "business-critical" systems, therefore, it is necessary to use a robust solution which is able to provide sufficient computing power. At the same time, it must meet the requirements of flexibility for ease of increasing and decreasing computing resources according to the actual needs of the corporation.

Creating a cloud serving the needs of Lenovo in Slovakia and in the EMEA region. Design of a flexible solution including the possibility of creating their own private storage of documents for workers at the Slovak branch.
Our solution
Lenovo uses cloud-based solutions for its systems from the provider of GAMO Cloud services. The services provided include computing resources, virtual servers, as well as the licences for several Microsoft products (OS Windows Server, SQL Server, and others). The cloud solution enables efficient use of resources and high availability of systems. Individual corporation application servers are operated in a prepared IT environment.
The solution enables changing the parameters dynamically and adapting specifically to the applications that run within it.
For the purposes of sharing documents, the solution also includes its own private documents storage. GAMO provides consultations aimed at the architecture of the applications and the servers.
The Lenovo strategy is to provide seamless support to customers and partners in the EMEA. As a multi-national company, we need an IT solution that meets international standards. The operation of our servers in the cloud from GAMO meets these requirements. We can react flexibly to current needs and optimise the information systems that we operate in the cloud.
