The company of Tatry mountain resorts (TMR) operates several mountain resorts, hotels and aqua parks in Slovakia. Within their resorts they provide their customers not only with comfort but also top customer service. They provide online ticket ordering and also possibility to buy tickets in more than 70 self-service cashiers marked as GOPASS POINT located directly in the resorts. IT infrastructure requirements were steadily increasing. The number of information systems, their system requirements and geographic locations were the main reason for TMR´s decision to use cloud solution.

Our solution
Tatry mountain resorts (TMR) uses in their facilities various information systems - internal for the operational personnel as well as access and transaction systems for the visitors. They represent “business-critical” systems without which it is impossible to ensure the continuity of services.
The solution built in GAMO Cloud constitutes a robust system capable to provide sufficient computing performance for:
- Tourniquet and sale system in Bešeňová Aqua Park,
- catering and hotel systems for the network of the hotels in High Tatras,
- application for ski instructors,
- tourniquet system in the ski resorts including connection to the GOPASS online sale.
The whole information system is protected against failures as well as unauthorized access. Maximum availability and protection against failures is guaranteed. High level of security is based on the certification of the cloud service provider according to ISO 27001 and ISO 27018.
Cloud computing flexibility provides IT administrators with certainty that the servers are being operated on the latest and supported systems without the need to control license correctness and validity.

The migration of servers into cloud has unburdened us from the necessity of daily monitoring of their condition and operational parameters. In the cloud we have guaranteed continuous operation that is not threatened by sudden failures of electricity. From the perspective of the nearest future it is very important, that the servers are located in the cloud that complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. Such solution will help us meet the requirements of this legislation that will enter into force as of May 25, 2018.
